Our Target Impact

The potential impact of the GCP on the health of the world’s populations and the potential decline in human suffering is staggering.   If every member of the medical community, including physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, psychologists and allied health providers, agreed to donate just one hour per month to the cause the GCP would be bringing help to more than 840m people that receive no or little healthcare today.   And the goal of the GCP members is to make these meaningful visits – not the typical 15 minute clinical encounter experienced in the US, but up to an hour of provider time to get to know the patient and understand their individual needs and best options going forward.

Even at one hour per month, the potential savings in lives and suffering are immense.

What would be the impact of a health encounter of an individual that has little to no health access and is able to consult with an online health expert not for 5 or 10 minutes but for 1 hour equal in value?  The impacts are obvious with the resulting increase in the quality of human life and a reduction in human suffering an almost global imperative.

GCP is committed to evaluating the effectiveness of all of its programs around the world, and constantly strives to improve how the programs are targeted and operated and how effective they are at improving health outcomes
